Illustration doesn't always have to be a matter of natural talent. Rather, it is a craft only mastered by taking the first steps. Veteran children's book illustrator Yusof Gajah walks you through the tips and techniques to facilitate the journey from idea to drawing board. Participants will learn more about the ingredients of eye-catching and memorable illustrations.

Participants should bring for this session:
- drawing paper
- art materials
- a children's picture book
- cutter
- scissors
- glue

About the Speaker


Yusof Gajah is a children's picture book writer and illustrator, and also Malaysia's foremost naive art artist. With a formidable reputation in the art world, his paintings are widely sought after. Yusof's books have won numerous awards, including the Noma Concours Grand Prix Award for The Real Elephant. He regularly conducts art workshops and enjoys working with children.
